DS-PDMCX-E-WE Outdoor Magnetic Contact, IP66
Hikvision outdoor magnetic contact is intended for mounting outside, on doors or fences and gates.
The Hikvision outdoor magnetic contact has the model number DS-PDMCX-E-WE and is a fully secure wireless bi-directional detector with opening detection, tamper protection, low battery monitoring and connection monitoring. It can operate for up to 5 years from a built-in battery.
Range from the Hikvision Hub
The range from the Hub to the Hikvision magnetic contact DS-PDMCX-E-WE is 1,600 metres in open field. The connection is continuously monitored by the Hikvision Cloud. If the wireless signal is intentionally disrupted, it will be notified immediately via the Hik-Connect app on your smartphone. The Hikvision wireless signal is called Tri-X, and operates on 2 different frequencies in the 868mhz band and has AES-128 encryption.
Logging in and mounting
All Hikvision products are easy to pair. Logging in is done with a QR code on each device. Put the Hik-Connect app in Enroll mode and you can start adding products by scanning the QR code in the app.

In addition to setting the opening detection, you can make a number of other adjustments. For example, you can choose to use the detector as a doorbell function. As soon as someone then opens the door, you will hear a bell on your phone. This doorbell function is ideal for shoppers, so you are notified when someone opens your door. In addition, you can specify when the detector should detect. Only when you switch on the alarm system, or permanently, for example.
Battery-operated
The detector, like all Hikvision AX Pro alarm system products, is battery-operated. Like the motion detectors, the normal version of the Hikvision magnetic contact carries the CR123A type battery, making it completely wireless. All detectors can therefore easily be placed anywhere without having to lay cables. The lifetime of the batteries supplied as standard is 5 years under normal use. After this time, they can easily be replaced with new ones. These batteries are always available from stock. The magnetic contact is suitable for temperatures between -20 and +60 degrees Celsius. The dimensions are for the sensor 40.5mm x 146mm x 40.9mm and for the magnet 30.5mm x 146mm x 40.9mm and the weight is 247 grams. The unit has IP66 certification.
