This Hikvision wireless PIR curtain detector can be mounted on both the inside and outside of the house. In doing so, it can be mounted on a wall vertically, but it can also be made horizontally on the ceiling.

The PIR curtain detector has the model number DS-PDC10DM-EG2-WE and is a fully secure wireless bi-directional detector with motion detection, tamper protection, low battery monitoring and connection monitoring. It can operate for up to 5 years from a built-in battery. It ignores animals up to 12KG when wall-mounted, while it recognises humans from the first step.

The sensitivity is adjustable via the Hik-Connect application on your smartphone. There are 2 modes in total, automatic and animal-friendly. The latter should be chosen if cats or dogs are present in the room to be protected, or if the detector is mounted outside in an area where cats also roam regularly.

The ideal height to mount the PIR curtain detector is between 2 metres and 3.50 metres high. If you mount the PIR curtain detector lower than the recommended height, it will react to pets sooner and the detection distance will also decrease. Of course, all installation supplies are included.

The detector, like all Hikvision AX Pro alarm system products, operates on CR123A type batteries and is therefore completely wireless. They can therefore easily be placed anywhere without having to lay cables. The service life of the batteries supplied as standard is 5 years under normal use. After this time, they can easily be replaced for new ones for a few euros.
