The Dahua Smart Dual Illuminators technology maakt gebruik van slimme algoritmes om nauwkeurig doelen te detecteren. De IR-verlichting is normaal gesproken 's nachts aan. Wanneer het doel wordt gedetecteerd door de camera, gaat het warme licht aan en registreert de camera de full-color video en informatie over belangrijke gebeurtenissen. Wanneer het doelwit het bewaakte gebied verlaat, gaat het warme licht uit en wordt de IR-verlichting weer ingeschakeld, waardoor de lichtvervuiling in het gebied wordt verminderd.
