The Dahua NVR5-EI WizSense is a more powerful series of recorders that is ready for the future. For example, the NVR5-EI is suitable for resolutions up to 32MP and has an extra capacity for data processing. In addition, this series NVR also has built-in WizSense technology that can add intelligence to cameras that do not have it. But it can also strengthen the intelligence from Dahua WizMind and WizSense cameras. Examples of this are the Acupick, intelligent search functions and the facial recognition support.

Key Features:

• AI Intelligence in the Recorder: The Dahua NVR5-EI recorder is equipped with a built-in AI chip and WizSense technology. This allows regular cameras to be equipped with detection based on deep learning algorithms, such as AI Perimeter and Smart Motion Detection. The built-in WizSense technology also makes it possible to make AI cameras even more powerful, such as for facial recognition and Quick Pick.
  
  
• Support WizSense and WizMind cameras: Dahua NVR5-EI recorder supports the AI-related functions of both WizSense and WizMind cameras. These include AI Perimeter, SMD, Video Metadata, ANPR and Face Detection
  
  
• HDMI and VGA separately assignable: The HDMI and VGA outputs on the Dahua NVR5-EI recorder can be assigned separately.
  
  
• Support ANPR cameras: Dahua NVR5-EI recorder supports ANPR cameras with a central database in the recorder for access grant or denial. Suitable for up to 4 ANPR cameras
  
  
• Facial RecognitionDatabase : The NVR has its own facial recognition database. This only works in combination with cameras that support AI facial detection / Face capture

• Extra decoding capacity: The powerful hardware of the Dahua NVR5-EI recorder offers extra decoding capacity, making it possible to view more images in higher resolutions simultaneously. For example, in most models a resolution of up to 32MP is feasible or displaying 32x 1080p on the local display. Please read the datasheet carefully for the exact details.
  
  
• Fish-eye dewarp support: The Dahua NVR5-EI recorder supports Fish-eye dewarp for better image display of 360-degree cameras.

Points of attention:

• Lower data processing speed when using AI functions from the NVR: The Dahua NVR5-EI recorder has an incoming and outgoing bandwidth of 384 Mbps, but when using AI functions from the NVR itself, it drops back to 200 Mbps.
  
  
• Back-end WizSense technology from NVR not suitable for thermal cameras : The algorithms in the Dahua NVR5-EI recorder are based on the image of normal cameras. With thermal cameras this normally does not give an optimal effect.
  
  
• AcuPick: AcuPick is only available locally on the Dahua NVR5-EI recorder and not yet via web browser, DSS or DMSS.

Advice :

With the Dahua NVR5-EI recorder it is possible to equip regular cameras with AI detection functions. Proper functioning of these detection forms does depend on the quality and positioning of the cameras to which this is applied. When using AI-related functions it is important to read the specifications carefully. Many AI functions are supported by the Dahua NVR5-EI recorder, but not all can be applied at the same time. The most efficient way is to use as much intelligence from the camera as possible so that as much AI capacity as possible remains in the NVR for additional applications.
